The challenge
Physical staging costs thousands per listing and takes days to arrange. Photoshopped staging looked fake and buyers noticed. Roomvue wanted agents to stage a room on-site, in minutes, with furniture that is actually to scale and looks like it belongs in the photo.
What we did
Four decisions that made the difference.
Room understanding first
Plane detection and LiDAR mesh reconstruction give the app a real floor, walls and light estimate, so furniture sits correctly and casts believable shadows.
A catalogue that loads instantly
We built a pipeline that converts supplier furniture models into compressed USDZ with baked materials, streamed on demand and cached per project.
Capture that looks like a photo
A dedicated capture mode locks exposure, aligns the virtual camera and renders at full resolution, so the output goes straight to the listing without editing.
Web dashboard for brokerages
Brokerage admins manage catalogues, brand overlays and usage from a Next.js dashboard with Three.js previews of every staged scene.
The outcome
Staged listings now hold buyer attention more than three times longer and generate 41% more enquiries. Agents stage a room in about ninety seconds on average. Roomvue signed two of the largest brokerages in Texas within the launch quarter.
